Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry is one of the most prestigious and oldest Department.It was established in the year 1964 at undergraduate level. Dr. Deewakar Srivastava, a dedicated, famous and specialized teacher of Physical Chemistry in Bahraich region was first leading head of Chemistry Department which upgraded to post graduate level in 1999. Total 16 students awarded Ph. D. from this renounced department. Three student completed their Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. H. S. Singh (Ex Head of Chemistry Department), five scholar completed their Ph.D. under the super vision of Dr B.N Singh (Ex Head) and eight students completed their Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr P N Tripathi (Ex Head). The department is enriched with fully equipped U.G. Lab, P.G. Lab and Research lab. The department has a separate unique library for PG students with more than 800 books along with central library of college. The Department is quite rich in learning methods to the students as it organizes seminar and mega seminar for PG students, a lot of curricular, co-curricular and extension activities time to time.
