Medieval Modern History

The department of Medieval History started along with the foundation of this college in 1960. Post Graduate course started from the academic year of 1972-73. Currently, both Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses are government aided in the department of Medieval History. It speaks about the academic achievement of the department. The first head of the department Dr Sudhish Dhar Dwivedi was a distinguished academician who used to publish ‘Etihas Varshiki’ journal. This department can boast about the various academic achievements of its distinguished academician viz, Dr Suman Sharma, Dr Ehtesham Ali Khan (Ex. MLA), and Sri Rajeshwar Singh. This department continuously strives to produce better human beings and capable citizens in our nation.

Vision: We need to assimilate the technology in the learning environment as per the requirement of NEP 2020 and to meet the challenges of the 21st century. For instance, we refer ourselves and ask students to visit MOOCs like Swayam, NROER, epathshala for e-contect, BHUVAN for Historical places and monuments, easy.ly for infographics. Moreover, we visit for various books and reading materials, websites like archives.org, Library Genesis and N-List etc. It is easy to memorise if we include various online tools like “Experience real History”, “Wonderscope”, “Shape 3D”, google expedition etc.
